The grandiose, Victorian-style home is painted sapphire and located in the maritime city of Sturgeon Bay; thus, The Sapphire Star. The century-old home underwent a half-million-dollar upgrade from the inside out. After a year-long labor of love, owners Tim and Julie opened The Sapphire Star to guests in 2022 for its inaugural season. Tim and Julie have a home in Sturgeon Bay and love spending time in Door County. As STR hosts, they’re excited to share their love of Door County with guests.

The Sapphire Star is a quick walk to the downtown Sturgeon Bay entertainment district, with its shops, restaurants, and taverns. The STR is located steps away from a sporting goods store that rents kayaks, the Door County Maritime Museum, and the boat landing.
Located just down the street is beautifully renovated Otumba Park with a huge sandy beach, playground equipment, picnic tables, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and a pavilion.
